Just for clarity, are they dropping the hard R this entire film? That’s insane!

If a white man writes a script with the N word but hires black people to play the characters that say the N word, does he have the N word pass?

2:40 sadly, she is 1960's Fat. The average American is 1960's fat. It's really worrying how normalized obesity is. It skews your perspective when almost everyone you see is overweight.

This film is only controversial until you realise it was written and directed by a black dude and the entire film is actually built around a slave revenge narrative that was clearly a 'fuck you' to racism. This is, basically, Django Unchained. The only people who would get offended are presumably white middle-class liberals.

70’s exploitation films were fantastic! Check out “Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS”.

One of my favorite movies is Blazing Saddles l, which is along the same lines as this, a bit more serious though (not a lot) and it follows this black guy who becomes the town's mayor and has to stop the state from ruining the town for a railroad. At first he gets hated but then he's universally loved

Is it bad that I think this film shouldn't be offensive, I almost think it's poignant

Loved the random Boondock Saints reference. lol. "There was a fire fight!"

It's sad that nowadays black people are as racist as white people in the US. Of course, Asians are equally as racist toward non-Asians, but Americans seem to think the only kind of racism in the world is whites x blacks.

Apparently William Smith (who played Jed) and Fred Williamson were very good friends IRL. And they did some good work in coreographing their brawls. I genuinely like this movie.

That theme song should be added to beat Saber, complete with the video playing in the background.
