Lake Placid didnโ€™t go down the comedy route later. It was literally a horror comedy when it came out.

I feel like the SAW franchise really doesn't do much with Jigsaw outside of the traps. His victims' reasons for being targeted are wildly different and often nowhere near deserving of being plopped into a deadly escape room, but in the first film, he even has fucking cops saying, "Well, technically, he hasn't killed anybody..." Which we all know is a load of bullshit, but it's terrifying to see even law enforcement - who are already unreliable, violent, and dismissive at the best of times - parrot a serial-killer-cum-cult-leader's own propaganda uncritically. But the series barely touches on philosophy, criminal psychology, or anything even remotely interesting about the series' premise beyond that (for the most part), opting instead to do the same twists over and over again while being as convoluted as possible. A SAW series that focuses more on Jigsaw's own psychological profile and his personal life philosophies, as well as those of his followers, the law enforcement employees tasked with stopping his reign of terror, and the general public has so much potential for interesting character interactions and plot twists that actual hold meaning and make sense, but I doubt we'd be so lucky as to see something like that anytime soon.

the only reason I watched House Of the Dead all the way through was because I was hoping the lead girls boobs would eventually fall out but alas, just like the quality of the film. disappointing.

I struggle every time I watch this channel. Sometimes but a bit seldom the vid is interesting, but most of the time it's just frustratingly inaccurate and bad. I subscribed when I watched a particularly good vid, but I keep wondering if I should unsubscibe.

Terrifying monsters? Boy you guys and gals at WC really are easy to scare, a man in a cheap gorilla suit wearing an astronauts helmet and giant bin liner with bits of fluff and foliage stuck onto it are terrifying lol And calling Lake placid mediocre, really? It's a great film, piss funny and has some genuinely thrilling scenes in it. I saw the first one at the cinema and everyone in there seemed to be enjoying it. The sequels are all pants though.

I love the original Annabelle film I think it is excellent. Especially as I recognise some of the cast from other shows and films that for me makes a film instantly better

House of the Dead is such a dope bad movie. Liberty is the only good character tbh.

The Blob from 80s and Lake Placid were pretty cool movies. Bad Ash. xD

Lake Placid is a good movie that fell victim to the "let's make a bunch of crappy sequels because we can" crap. Just like Anaconda, Leprechaun and Wishmaster to name a few. And the Blob remake wasn't bad, never seen the original. Also, the creeping terror looks like something that should get a remake, just sayin.

Okay, Predator is NOT a "terrible movie", and doesnยดt deserve to be in this list.

I'm surprised Swamp Ape isn't on here (if you could even call that a movie). It has porno-level acting and is ridiculous all around, but then there's a scene... let's just say it involves something that rhymes with the type of animal the monster is, and it's ridiculous but at the same time horrifying.

Slender man... that monster makes me nauseous, they had lots of real world things to work off of, and a chilling creature in both appearance and abilties... and every movie with him somehow just SUCKS

Hedorah from โ€œGodzilla vs. the Smog Monsterโ€ is the scariest of all the kaiju, even though the film itโ€™s in is goofy and just plain weird.

I didnโ€™t know they made a predator remake. Not exact sure why they thought that was necessary either.

The Blob really marked me as a kid. Years later, when I saw Dragon Ball Z, Buu caused me quite a shiver. Even Ditto from Pokรฉmon did!

OMG I can't believe you mentioned Robot Monster! That has to be one of the WORST monsters ever! Funny, my first thought when I saw the title of this video was, "There's NO WAY they're mentioning Robot Monster, that movie is laughably bad." Then you did.I actually own a copy of this movie.

House of Wax has been unfairly smeared simply because Paris Hilton is in it. IMO, it's a terrific little movie with a clever plot and script, great effects, amazing sets, and gorgeous art direction.

You know a movie is schlocky when even Betty White and Mariska Hargitay can't save it.
