Would the concept described in this video, specifically in the sentence "The universe doesn't contain people, the universe peoples." at 36:18 be more accurately described as "The universe doesn't contain people, the universe contains things people-ing." ?

I like how "Do chairs exist?" became those crazy questions in school like: "Is Water Wet?", "Is Glass without water considered empty?", "Define truth." The thing is, that's why we have common and proper nouns. A 'chair' is a common noun. A certain object is called 'chair' because of what's purpose of it, and it's where people sit. they can make a table-wise object, but when people sit on it, it's considered a 'chair'. Then here's "Ship of Theseus" which was a proper noun obviously, and it's common noun was 'ship'. That original ship with the original parts on it was named "Ship of Theseus" right? then like the video said, it's neither of those two ships are "Ship of Theseus" because it wasn't the original parts that are assembled.. but what are they? they're still ships. that could be applicable to "Michael chair". If there's even 3 parts were missing, let's say 3 atoms, then for me it's not a "Michael chair" for example, but it's still a 'chair' because you could still sit on it. Lol, what am I writing?? but my mind keeps telling me I should comment this, but whatever.. lols

SORTALS? Those are just countable objects. Philosophers continue to invent words unnecessarily.

I think You forgot a pretty big point: the essentialist argument. Sure the simples exist and have always existed, but the chair only begins to exist when we think about sitting on the simples. “Can be sat on” is the prerequisite essential property of a chair, and anything that can have that property is a chair. This means as long as we have butts the need sitting, chairs will exist.

chair is just an abstraction to simplify reasoning about reality, just like a struct is an abstraction over bits in memory, which are an abstraction over physical phenomena in RAM.

Hey by that last definition u can define each object or identity of the simples executing the object, for example a chair is a certain order of simples made by an action of other simples that is used to relax the physical tention of the host by an objective action called sittingIf something isn't made by the simple's action or isn't used to relax these physical properties then it can no longer be called a chairAlso it will continue being a chair if a part of it was removed but it still serves its given purpose
