Just one more thing! I loved the older Games with Magic, Birdman, Kareem, Rambus, there are a bunch more, The battle that the Lakers and the Celtics!! You just got excited! I would leave work and couldn't wait for the Game to start! There are some Great Players out there right now!! However it seems like they Play for the highest Contract's.. I still Love Basketball and I am very Sad that I can't play anymore... There are some Great games always! I just wished a Team stayed together longer!!

Yes it was the one where he stowed the in bound pass and fired a pass under the Basket and that won the Game. Just about everyone in the Stadium thought the game was over! Except The Birdman! The Celtics won that game and many more! You always knew if the Birdman was in the Game it was never over until the Birdman stopped Shooting!! I did Coach a High school for one season and I named a shot over in the Right corner the Birdman! They knew that was Where the Birdman never Missed!!

Great video to break down the details of these 5 occurrences where Bird got the last word. As a teenager watching him play I never knew the nitty gritty details of the relationships he had with the players. I enjoyed all of these stories and especially the one where his ex-college bully teammate came to Boston and got so humiliated he melted down and got ejected. Bird was a badass to mess with and sure proved it on the court. My favorite memory was when he stole the inbound pass dishing it to DJ for the winning layup. I saw that game live on TV and it was very exciting to see.

1980s: I'm in Laker country, ok? We're 'supposed' to hate the Birdman and his Celtics, but I just couldn't do it. In my 20s, so I still had game, and I was learning so much from those guys, like I did from the Lakers comin up as a kid. It's kinda funny, though...if anyone got serious w/Bird, McHale, the Chief, Kite, even Ainge would be on them like wolves, man!.

Larry Bird is the greatest all-around player EVER!!! Greatest shooting small forward EVER. Greatest passing small forward EVER. Greatest rebounding small forward EVER. Nobody made his teammates better than Larry Bird. Only small forward to win 3 MVP's in a row. Only small forward to win 3 straight 3 point contests. If Larry Bird played in today's NBA he would easily average 35ppg. I will take Larry Bird in his prime(84, 85, 86, 87) over anyone including Michael and LeBron!!! Definitely in the Top 5 of all-time. Magic, Michael, Bird, Russell, Wilt. There will never be another Larry Bird!!!

NBA players today would piss their pants or take the ball and go home if they had to play like they did in 80's

Iโ€™m pretty sure Bird never even practiced at IU. He was only there like 2 weeks or something like that. So, not sure about the Kent Benson story.

Iโ€™m a Bulls fan, but I loved to watch Larry humiliate that oversized prick Lambeer. Larry could play rough, but had incredible skills, but Lambeer was there to injure people, and take them out of the game. Hated him then, hate him now. A waste of a human being.

5:36, The guy in the background is so blurry in this picture that he casually looks exactly like Dwight from "The Office" when he was doing CPR training and he cut off the dummies face and put it on him to look like Hannibal Lector.

One of my favs was when he asked Craig Eloh if his mom was watching. That's when Bird scorched him in the second half.

One of the best Larry Bird stories took place during a road game against the Seatle Supersonics in 1986. Larry tells Xavier McDaniel that he is going to get the ball and shoot a game winning jump shot in his face. Xavier says he'll be waiting. True enough, Bird gets the ball, and shoots the game winning jumper right in his face! LB said after that shot that he didn't mean to leave 2 seconds on the clock! Classic Larry Bird all the way!!

My favorite season watching the NBA was โ€˜85-โ€˜86, which included many match ups between Celtics & Lakers, Bird & Magic.
